Tucked away in a secluded and quiet peninsula of Belize sits the Turtle Inn. Owned by the Coppola family. This magical place is a hotel that has been featured in Conde Nast and has won various awards. After many. years of staying at the Turtle Inn one trip changed our visits forever. Chip was a stray dog that wandered into the lives of the Coppola family and soon became the mascot of the Turtle Inn. And I fell in love with him. Every year the family hosts a humane Society Auction. And I was asked by management to paint Chip for the auction.
I spent a week in Belize painting Chip. A month later I returned to Belize ready for the awaited auction. Sofia Coppola purchased my painting which now hangs at the Turtle Inns front desk which guests see when they arrive.
